Bonds (TLT) +1.4% (up 1.2% for week)

Gold (GLD) +8.7% (down 0.1% for week)

 

CNNMoney’s Fear & Greed Index – Jan 2, 2017:

Investors are driven by two emotions: fear and greed. Too much fear can sink stocks well below where they should be. When investors get greedy, they can bid up stock prices way too far.

Large Cap, Small Cap, European Equities & Emerging Market Equities are favored major asset classes to invest in long term so all signs point to higher highs.  Be prepared to shift if January blows in some cold air from the north. Some Asset Protection still remains a focus as we continue to test the highs.
